About us

History and Commitment

Latrobe Valley Bus Lines, proudly part of The Dineen Group of Companies, has been serving the public transport needs of Latrobe Valley and Gippsland residents since 1948. Our commitment to safety and accessibility is reflected in the professionalism of our employees and the quality of our fleet. Our team, which includes Bus Drivers, Chaperones, Mechanical Technicians, Body Technicians, Apprentices, and Administrators, collaborates with the Department of Transport to provide ongoing development of safe, reliable public transport across the region.

Innovative and Environmentally Friendly

In 2018, Latrobe Valley Bus Lines introduced the first of eight Volvo Euro 6 hybrid Route Service buses, supported by Public Transport Victoria (PTV). This initiative marked an Australian first and underscored our dedication to reducing our environmental footprint. Hybrid buses not only reduce noise and improve passenger comfort but also produce fewer emissions and use up to 30% less fuel than conventional diesel buses. This ongoing investment in hybrid technology aligns with our commitment to operating a socially and environmentally responsible business.

Community Support

Latrobe Valley Bus Lines proudly supports a range of grassroots community organizations. This includes The Kindred Spirits Foundation, which empowers individuals, groups, and communities through skill-building and training. Other initiatives include The Big Red Kidney Bus in conjunction with Kidney Health Australia, Latrobe Women in Business, and the LVBL Staff Foundation, which allows our employees to donate a portion of their salary each week to charities close to their hearts.
